Just put in an order for a couple of Buck Limited Editions
« on: October 31, 2015, 08:19:18 AM »

The BUCKLOCK in Ivory Micarta and the Buck Paradigm, also with Ivory Micarta scales.

The Bucklok is a lockback design - 3' drop point blade of 13C26 Sandvik steel, ivory paper Micarta handle scales.
(leather pouch included)

The Paradigm model  is an assisted opener with the opening/locking system in the bolster = manipulate the bolster & flick your finger & the 3`drop-point blade of 420HC swings out & locks in place. Handle liners & bolster are stainless.
This model comes with a pocket clip.

Pricey, but I'm a sucker for Ivory Micarta hilted knives. 8)

Pretty! The steel sounds good, and the white Micarta is outstanding! That looks as if its a real workhorse. (You have to love that in a knife)!

Those are really nice looking blades.  I need to get a new pocket knife; one of those might be just the ticket!!!

Contrary to what you told me, I think you're a sucker for a great pocket knife.  ;)

Don't worry, Budreau, I won't tell a soul! (Oops, did i say that on the Internet)?   :-X

Got delivery of the Buck Paradidgm & the Bucklock folders! ;D  REALLY like the Paradigm -its rotating bolster locking mechanism is smooth & effortless as is the assist to open the blade. Closing the blade is simple, rotate the bolster& the blade is closed & safely locked.
Quite a handsome piece - handy & light....With its pocket clip, it now rides in my Levi vest pocket. :)

the Bucklock  folder is going to be a scrimshaw project - looking for a suitable design to scrim. - ivory Micarta
works well... have done several  in the past.

I'd like to see the results of your efforts. Both my Buck and Queen knives are prized posessions. The Queen will be something I can effortlessly carry in a sport coat pocket, while the Buck rides low in my slacks. It is surprising how easily the Impact carries.

If you live in "auto friendly" territory, you should look into one of these. They are excellent!

Scott, I'm not big on knives.  Just that now I'm retired I have to put on a better appearance when a casual acquaintance asks to borrow a knife to open a box or package.  First time that happened I pulled out a Recon 1 with a tanto point to assist some guy during Wednesday evening church services; guy seemed a bit surprised - I was thinking no big deal; hey this is Texas.  Glad I didn't offer him the little Cold Steel push dagger I wear with my dog tags.  Most of the folders I have around here have a similar look about them.  Started carrying a little 1 1/2" bladed NRA folder.  Innocuous looking for sure, but my neighbor had trouble cutting open one of those large fedex envelopes with it.  I have my Dad's Old Timer I could carry, but don't want to take a chance on losing it.  Was looking  at grabbing up a Buck 110, but these knives Popeye posted look even more civilized.

budroe: If you special order a Buck 110 (Folding Hunter) from the factory, you can custom order it with an S30V steel blade, nickel silver bolsters (won't tarnish) and either elkhorn, dark buffalo hore, ebony, cherrywood, or standard walnut handles. You can have finger grooves in the handles if you like.

If you go the entire custom route, it can cost you up to about $160.00. (That's with all the "bells and whistles"). Go to the Buck website and order what you want. From "mild to wild" their Custom Shop has it all.
