Ruger Impact .22 Air Rifle
« on: June 18, 2015, 11:06:12 AM »

Saw a post on another forum a while back about a sale at Midway on reconditioned Ruger Air Rifles.  Half price!!  $107.00 total with shipping and 1,000 Crossman Premier pellets.

http://www.midwayusa.com/product/769874/ruger-impact-air-rifle-22-caliber-pellet-hardwood-stock-blue-barrel-with-scope-4x32mm-factory-reconditioned

How could you not buy it?

There's been a lot going on and I haven't had a chance to spend much time with it.  I'll get a report on it with and without scope as soon as I can.

I assume that this will be like any rifle so I will need to spend some time trying different brand pellets.  Only reason I got the Crosman Premier is there was a sidebar ad for them on the rifle page so they were easy to order  :)

That looks like a nice rifle. The last air rifle I owned was A Gamo that was also a break barrel cocking type gun. Mine used .177 cal pellets and came in a lime green stock with A Ducks Unlimited logo on it as, I'd won the rifle in a DU raffle.

I've owned two Daisy Powerline 880's (Huntington Beach P.D. confiscated one in 1993) that have rifled barrels (.177 caliber) and are 1 to 10 pump power adjustable and elevate adjustable sight. 2 pump charge at 17 feet range had me knocking off empty plastic shotgun hulls with regularity. AND....I needed to create a heavy cloth backstop to prevent more holes appearing in the wood garage door panels!

The Powerline's accuracy with both B-B and lead pellet is very acceptable, not competitive match grade, but backyard or woods sniping it is certainly capable of handling!

Sadly I'm hooked on a.g. and have some real nice ones.
RWS 48 and 350, Walther Talon customized, very powerful, just got a PCP
disco I'm playing with.
No shortage of pellets ya know and they'll take tree rats 50 yards off.
And quiet also.

Those NAZI H.B.P.D. bastidz never gave it back, and I wasn't the one doing the shooting! $%#@&%$* fruit of my loins. He's what caused me to buy the 2nd 880!
