« on: August 01, 2015, 12:44:31 PM »

= A remastered edition of the 1961 "The Guns of Navarone" :)
Love Gregory Peck & David Niven's roles, not to mention Anthony Quinn's
Great  war action movie... ranks up there with "A Bridge too Far" & "Where Eagles Dare'" & "Saving Private Ryan"

Most of the social history of the Western World, over the past three decades has been a history of replacing what worked with what sounded good.

"The Guns of Navarone", "Where Eagles Dare" and "Ice Station Zebra" were all written by Allister Maclean.  All of Maclean's books were excellent, always better than the movies.
